Position Summary: The Intensive In-Home Qualified Professional must have at least one year of experience with children or adolescent mental health consumers. The Qualified Professional is responsible for assisting the Team Lead with coordination of services across all levels of care, participating in the treatment team processes, and assisting the Team Lead with clinical documentation and psychoeducation and skill development. This QP will cover Williamston, NC and surrounding areas.
About The Program: The Intensive In-Home Program is a team approach designed to address the identified needs of children and adolescents who due to serious and chronic symptoms of emotional, behavioral, and/or substance use disorders, are unable to remain stable in the community without intensive interventions.
About You
The ideal candidate must:
- Be currently licensed by the appropriate North Carolina licensure board as a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Professional Counselor, Psychiatrist, Licensed Psychologist or a Licensed Psychological Associate, except a registered nurse who is licensed to practice in the State of North Carolina by the North Carolina Board of Nursing who also has four years of full-time accumulated experience in mh/dd/sa with the population served OR
- Have a master's degree in a human service field plus one year of full-time, post-graduate degree accumulated mh/dd/sa experience with the population served, or a substance abuse professional (with a master's degree in a human service field) who has one year of full-time, post-graduate degree accumulated supervised experience in alcoholism and drug abuse counseling; OR
- Have a bachelor's degree in a human service field plus two years of full-time, post-bachelor's degree accumulated mh/dd/sa experience with the population served, or a substance abuse professional (with a bachelor's degree in a human service field) who has two years of full-time, post-bachelor's degree accumulated supervised experience in alcoholism and drug abuse counseling; OR
- Have a bachelor's degree in a field other than human services and has four years of full-time, post-bachelor's degree accumulated mh/dd/sa experience with the population served, or a substance abuse professional (with a bachelor's degree in a non-human services field) who has four years of full-time, post-bachelor's degree accumulated supervised experience in alcoholism and drug abuse counseling
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care to clients within the treatment setting
- Participate in updating of consumer's PCP/Treatment Plan with other team members
- Interact with parents/stakeholders as necessary
- Interact with school personnel regarding consumer's schedule/behavior/etc.
- Assist consumer and family in developing a behavior modification plan to be implemented in the home, school, community
- Participate and contribute to CFT’s
- Update team on consumer's progress/regression/stagnation
- Participate as a first responder team member in crisis management cases (as appropriate) 24/7/365 days
