Job Overview
The Program Director is a full time position and manages program operations by focusing on effective planning, program marketing, quality of services, effectiveness of staff, customer relations, interviewing and hiring, implementation of training, implementation of quality management and employee recognition and motivation. This position may assist in activities related to program growth and securing ongoing funding to sustain the program. The program director is a leader who provides supervision and support to ensure the effective implementation and management of the Youth Villages Intercept evidence-based program. The program director is responsible for the accuracy, appropriateness and compliance of program documentation and in providing program components necessary for effective services. As a leader, professional communication and collaboration within the program and with external stakeholders and partners is expected.

Program Info
Intercept is an evidence-based structured program that serves a broad population of youth, including those involved with multiple child-serving systems and those at high risk of removal from their families. The program specializes in diverting youth from out of home placements by helping their families safely maintain youth in their home environment. Intercept specialists provide intensive home-based counseling and safety planning to families involved with DCP&P. The model requires a flexible and non-traditional schedule, designed around the availability of the youth and families served. Program supervisors provide specialists with individual development, weekly group supervision and case consultation. Youth Villages, the model developer, is regularly involved in program implementation to ensure model fidelity.
What You’ll Do as an Intercept Program Director:

Administrative oversight, supervision and management of 4 program supervisors and 2 admin support staff to ensure program fidelity and contract requirements are met.

Weekly development meetings with Supervisors, supporting supervisor’s implementation of Intercept model with their specialists.

Weekly meetings with Youth Villages and DCF regarding program implementation

Address personnel issues to support staff development and provision of quality services

Collaborate with DCF’s Office of Family Preservation and Reunification, DCP&P, Youth Villages and other Intercept providers, to ensure effective implementation of the Intercept program

Provide coverage as needed for group supervision and case consultation meetings

Complete necessary documentation required for Youth Villages Intercept and Acenda.
Intercept Program Director Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a social services discipline required with at least 5 years of experience in a leadership role in social services required.

Prior supervisory, leadership and management experience

Excellent written and customer service skills - Must be able to facilitate positive interactions and work collaboratively with others.

Must be able to exercise independent thinking and good judgment under all circumstances.

Must be detail-oriented, be able to analyze work, set goals, develop plans and utilize time effectively and efficiently.

Must have and maintain a valid driver's license, use of an insured vehicle and an acceptable driving record.
OR -
-
Master’s Degree in Social Work, psychology or other directly related to human services field

Clinical licensure preferred

Experience working with DCP&P population preferred
