The Underground Interchange Stations Inspector is responsible for ensuring the safety, functionality, and operational efficiency of underground interchange stations. The role involves regular inspections, compliance checks, incident reporting, and collaboration with maintenance and operational teams to address and resolve any identified issues. The position entails a 60-hour workweek.

Responsibilities:

Inspection and Monitoring:

  • Conduct routine inspections of underground interchange stations, including platforms, tunnels, escalators, lifts, ventilation systems, and other infrastructure.
  • Ensure stations meet safety and operational standards in accordance with local regulations and company policies.

Incident Reporting and Resolution:

  • Identify potential hazards, safety violations, or maintenance needs during inspections.
  • Report issues promptly and collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to address them effectively.

Compliance and Documentation:

  • Ensure stations comply with all relevant safety and operational guidelines.
  • Maintain detailed records of inspections, incidents, and resolutions.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports to management.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Work closely with station managers, maintenance crews, and safety officers to implement corrective actions.
  • Participate in meetings to discuss station performance and improvement strategies.

Emergency Preparedness:

  • Assist in planning and executing emergency drills and procedures.
  • Respond to emergencies and provide on-site support as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education:

  • Diploma or degree in civil engineering, transportation management, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in station operations, infrastructure inspection, or a similar role.

  • Familiarity with underground transportation systems is highly desirable.

Skills:

  • Strong observational and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and report-writing abilities.
  • Proficiency in using inspection tools and software.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and under pressure.

Work Environment:

  • Predominantly underground, requiring physical fitness and the ability to navigate tight and noisy spaces.
  • Rotational shifts, including weekends and holidays.
