Interdisciplinary Project Manager

Qualis LLC is seeking a full-time entry level Interdisciplinary Project Manager to support work at the Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) in the Air Force Test Center (AFTC), at the 704th Test Group, Detachment 1 National RCS Test Facility (NRTF). The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a technical professional in support of electronics engineers, general engineers, and operations research analysts with operational responsibility in assigned area(s) and technical oversight of projects. Considered a technical expert for the organization in assignments concerning project management, instrumentation, data acquisition, and controls; employee provides technical leadership and management to ensure project/program success. Work encompasses several phases of the development process in which the employee guides and evaluates the design and development activities of others. This position will serve as the lead project manager responsible for various engineering projects involving the development, test, and integration efforts of the NRTF’s static RCS mission and the planning, estimating, and scheduling of technical project development and testing programs. This position is located on-site at Holloman Air Force Base, New Mexico. The TGRP flight chief at the NRTF will provide government oversight for this position.


Essential Duties:

  • Performs professional engineering work by applying acquisition processes to the development of electronic systems.
  • Plans and coordinates complex projects to ensure program meets objectives and cost, schedule, and performance criteria.
  • Administers resources required to execute projects and adjust funding, schedules, and work based on project reviews.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an ABET accredited institution in electronics engineering or mathematics or operations research or a closely related field.
  • Must have ability to work within specific procedures and processes of the Air Force Test Center and DoD regulations and guidelines.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills along with customer interaction and presentation capabilities required.
  • Exemplify a dedication to achieving the mission of the NRTF as well as high standards of quality and excellence in performing duties.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while being able to prioritize work to balance multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Must be a US citizen
  • Must be willing to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance.
  • Must be willing to travel up to 10%
