We are actively seeking a practical, execution-focused Interim IP Legal Head to support our pre-funding operations in India. This is a temporary, contract-based role aimed at helping safeguard IP during our early-stage phase.

The India legal function operates as a freelancer-style support unit for the Dubai HQ, where a Global IP/Legal Head will be hired post-funding. This role will collaborate with our external legal partner (LR Swami) and internal legal support, focusing on lightweight IP management, timestamping, and investor readiness.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with IP experience in startups or boutique legal firms who’s ready to make a high-impact contribution in a lean, fast-moving environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee timestamp conversions, novelty searches, and internal documentation of IP assets.
• Coordinate with external IP law firms (India and global), including LR Swami, for filings and legal compliance.
• Maintain and align Clients IP bundles with Clients IP Holdings (Singapore).
• Support investor due diligence by preparing legal/IP documentation and keeping records investor-ready.
• Draft and review simple legal documents such as NDAs, contracts, and early-stage agreements.
• Act as the legal liaison between India operations and Dubai HQ.

Required Skills & Experience

• 2–5 years of experience in Intellectual Property Law (patents, trademarks, copyrights).
• Familiarity with patent applications and filings (even if managed externally).
• Strong understanding of tech and AI-related IP.
• Excellent legal drafting, research, and organizational skills.
• Comfortable working in a startup-style, pre-funding environment.
• Ability to draw or draft technical diagrams for patent applications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in boutique IP law firms or in-house legal teams at startups.
• Experience with timestamping methods, blockchain IP protection, or managing investor/legal data rooms.
• Proven ability to manage external legal partners and collaborate cross-functionally.

Compensation & Contract Details

• Monthly Salary: ₹40,000 – ₹60,000 (pre-funding stage)
• Engagement: Contract-based/freelancer structure under Client (Dubai entity)
• Growth: High-performing candidates may be considered for a long-term role in Dubai post-funding

• Timely preparation and organization of timestamp packages
• Readiness of IP portfolio for investor and legal reviews
• Effective coordination with law firms and Clients IP Holdings (Singapore)
• Legal compliance maintained with minimal overhead

This is an interim role meant to bridge early-stage IP readiness until Clients secures funding. Once funded, the company will hire a Global IP/General Counsel in Dubai. This India-based legal role is foundational and highly strategic, offering exposure to cross-border legal operations and IP portfolio scaling.
