Interim Marketing Director – Build & Launch a Digital Marketing Team

Project Overview

We are a fast-growing moving company in the United States with 200 employees, 100 trucks, and $12M annual revenue.

Our goal is to scale to $20M+ in annual revenue by building a world-class digital marketing team.

We are seeking an experienced Marketing Director to join us on a 3-month contract to design, hire internationally, and launch this team and its growth strategy.
A permanent position may follow once the team is built, and the right candidate will be considered for that role.

Key Responsibilities

Team Architecture & Hiring

Design a 3-phase growth plan and recommend the exact roles needed (domestic + international).

Recruit and onboard core team members (paid media, SEO, web development, creative, etc.).

Set up organizational structure, reporting lines, and performance KPIs.

Strategy & Execution

Create a multi-channel marketing strategy (paid ads, SEO, content, email automation, social media).

Establish lead generation, tracking, and analytics systems.

Oversee early campaigns to generate immediate results while the team is built.

Process & Tools

Implement marketing technology stack (CRM, analytics, automation tools).

Document processes for smooth transition to a permanent leader.

Required Experience & Skills

Proven track record scaling B2C service businesses to $20M+ revenue (moving, logistics, home services preferred but not required).

Hands-on recruiting experience for marketing teams (including international/remote hiring).

Deep knowledge of paid media, SEO, CRO, and marketing automation.

Strong analytical mindset: comfortable with KPIs, cost per lead, ROI modeling.

Exceptional leadership and communication skills to collaborate with U.S. executives and remote talent.

Project Details

Contract Length: 3 months (with potential to transition to permanent role).

Location: In office
