Interim PE/Health Teacher

Dates of Assignment: October 13, 2025 – December 19, 2025

Tippecanoe Valley High School is seeking an Interim Physical Education and Health Teacher to serve students in grades 9–12. This is a great opportunity for an educator with a passion for student wellness, fitness, and health education to make a positive impact on our school community.

Responsibilities

• Provide engaging instruction in Physical Education and Health courses aligned with Indiana Academic Standards, promoting, teamwork, healthy lifestyle choices, and student well-being.
• Supervise students effectively in the classroom and physical education environments.
• Maintain accurate student records, including attendance, participation, and performance.
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful classroom and gym environment.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Follow all building/district procedure and policies.
• All other duties as assigned by school administration and instructional coaches.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and experience teaching at the secondary level (grades 6–12).
• Strong understanding of appropriate physical education/health content.
• Ability to deliver engaging lessons that physical development.
• Preference may be given to candidates who:

o Hold a valid Indiana teaching license in Physical Education and/or Health Education.

o Are currently enrolled in a teacher preparation program and working toward licensure.

• Be able to pass a background check to work with youth.
• Minimum education of a high school diploma.
