Interior Decorator/ design consultant

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, preferences, and functional needs for interior spaces.
• Develop comprehensive design concepts using digital design tools and create mood boards that communicate style, color schemes, and material choices.
• Produce detailed layout designs and 3D renderings using SketchUp, Maya, or CAD software to visualize final results.
• Incorporate art direction principles to select color palettes, typography, textures, and decorative elements that enhance the overall aesthetic.
• Utilize photography skills to capture inspiration images and document project progress for presentations or portfolios.
• Design visual content for print advertising or digital marketing campaigns related to interior decor projects.
• Stay updated on current trends in interior design, fashion design, web design, motion graphics, and digital art to ensure innovative solutions.
• Coordinate with suppliers and contractors for material selection, furniture sourcing, and installation processes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in interior design or decoration with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse projects.
• Proficiency in digital design software including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe After Effects, and Adobe Creative Suite as a whole.
• Strong understanding of art direction, typography, color theory, layout design, and visual storytelling techniques.
• Skilled in 3D modeling and visualization tools such as SketchUp, Maya or CAD programs for creating realistic interior representations.
• Knowledge of graphic design principles applied to print advertising and digital media campaigns.
• Familiarity with motion graphics, web design (HTML & CSS), digital art creation, screen printing techniques, and illustration is a plus.
• Ability to interpret client needs into innovative interior solutions while managing multiple projects efficiently.
• Excellent communication skills to present ideas clearly and collaborate effectively with clients and team members. Pay: $29.00 - $33.00 per hour
