Interior Decorator / Designer

Pinnell’s Carpet One is seeking a full-time Interior Decorator / Designer to join our professional sales team.

If you love design and decorating, this role allows you to turn that passion into a career by helping clients select the right styles, colors, and materials for their flooring and home improvement projects, all while building meaningful, long-term relationships with customers.

Compensation Structure

This role includes an hourly base plus commission and performance incentives. Our commission structure is designed to reward strong customer relationships, thoughtful design guidance, and excellent service. As experience and confidence grow, so does earning potential.

Training & Support

You do not need to be an expert in flooring products on day one. We provide ongoing training, including product knowledge, design-focused sales coaching, and manufacturer and Carpet One training programs. Our goal is to support your growth and help you succeed long term.

What You’ll Do

• Greet customers and understand their design goals, preferences, and needs
• Help customers develop cohesive looks and color schemes for flooring and related projects
• Sell flooring, window coverings, and floor care products
• Explain product features, benefits, warranties, and design considerations
• Write and manage sales orders accurately
• Follow projects from initial consultation through completion and post-install follow-up
• Build strong client relationships and repeat business
• Respond to customer questions and concerns in a timely, professional manner
• Receive payments and obtain credit authorizations as needed

• Reliable transportation (home visits may be required)
• Retail sales or design experience is a plus, but not required
