Regency General Contractors has been a leading construction company on the West Coast for over 35 years, specializing in the renovation of Single-Family and Multi-Family properties. We are now seeking a Interior Designer Assistant for our Single-Residence division. Regency staff positions are designed for knowledgeable and energetic individuals who share a passion for design and construction. Staff members are expected to meet Ownership and Management objectives to enhance every aspect of the customer’s experience from start to finish and achieve the highest quality of product and service in each and every project. Regency Designers assist our clients with pre-selected designs and materials. The ideal applicant needs to be a strong communicator and work with multiple teams and projects.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented and creative Interior Designer Assistant to join our team. As the Interior Designer Assistant, you will be responsible for creating functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces that meet our clients' needs and preferences. You will collaborate with clients, realtors, and contractors to bring design concepts to life.

Position: nterior Designer Assistant - Full Time

Compensation: Competitive Salary based upon experience.

Experience: Minimum 1+ Years of Related Experience

Requirements:

· Knowledge of Interior Design Process, including Specs, Colors and Materials

· Experience in Space Planning, Design Concept Development, Predesign and Construction Administration

· Understand the Preparation of Designs and Drawings using Project Specs, Instructions and Standard Practices

· Assist with Designs, Quantity Calculations, Sketches, Diagrams and Schematic and Working Drawings

· Ability to Communicate Design Concepts and Intent through Various Media

· Work in a Fast-Paced Environment, Multi-Task and Meet Strict Deadlines

· Determine & Acquire Necessary Project Resources within Budgetary Limitations

· Coordinate, Lead and Encourage Project Teams to Achieve Optimum Results

· Evaluate Job-Site Progress and Update Project Schedules Accordingly

· Effective Communication & Collaboration with Customers, Co-Workers and Management

· Strong Written & Verbal English Communication Skills and Interpersonal & Negotiating Skills

· Basic Understanding of Trades & Scopes, the Permit & Inspection Process and Health & Safety Standards

· Organized, Dependable, Reliable, Self-Motivated, and Energetic

· Meet with clients to determine their goals, preferences, and budget for the project

· Develop design concepts and present them to clients for approval

· Create detailed drawings, renderings, and 3D models using software such as 20/20, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketchup, Photoshop

· Select materials, finishes, plumbing, lighting, flooring, paint and other elements for each project

· Document any project add-on work for the current contract and create a Change Order (CO) report.

· Follow the preselected Design Collection.

· Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks

· Flexibility to Travel if needed

· Available Days, Evenings, and Weekends, if necessary
