We’re looking for a creative and driven Design Assistant to join our Interior Design Division at Pacific Sundance. Reporting to the Design Operations Lead and collaborating with the rest of the design team, you’ll play a key role in keeping projects moving from concept all the way through installation. Supports project through in person sire engagements — travel required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the design team with daily project tasks from conception to installation
- Prepare design presentations, mood boards, and material boards
- Source furniture, finishes, materials, art and samples from vendors
- Create and update FF&E schedules, and specification sheets
- Maintain project files and design library organization
- Coordinate sample requests, pricing, lead times, and product availability
- Participate in client meetings, site visits, and installations
- Communicate with vendors, contractors, and fabricators to support project timelines
- Produce CAD files and space plans for projects
- Create visual communications in InDesign
- Produce Sketch-Up renderings as needed
- Coordinate with team members to ensure consistent and accurate communication
- Help maintain a clean and organized design studio environment
QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design
- 2+ years of job or internship experience in interior design is a plus
- Proficient in AutoCAD and space planning — required
- Experience working within Adobe Suite, specifically InDesign
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
- Experience with SketchUp and/or Revit for renderings is a plus
- Knowledge of AI prompting and desire to utilize upcoming technology is a plus
