Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and creative Interior Design Consultant to join our Mayfield Hts Design Center on a part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the flooring and interior design industry while supporting our experienced Sales and Design staff. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, detail-oriented, and passionate about design.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Sales and Design Consultants with client projects, showroom presentations, and material selections.
• Support day-to-day operations in the showroom, including maintaining displays, organizing samples, and keeping the showroom presentation-ready.
• Learn the business from the ground up: shadow design consultations, sit in on client meetings, and assist in quoting processes.
• Work with digital design tools and product catalogs to help create design concepts and floor plans.
• Assist in administrative tasks such as documenting customer selections, organizing project files, and updating client records.
• Gain knowledge of flooring materials, design trends, and installation processes.
• Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment while upholding Floorz’s H.I.P.S. culture.

Qualifications

• Strong interest in flooring, home design, and remodeling.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively.
• Willingness to learn and take initiative.
• Basic computer skills; familiarity with design software a plus.

Position Details

• Part time or Full Time role, flexible schedule (including some weekends).
• Based at our Mayfield Hts Design Center.
• Hands-on training and mentorship provided.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
