Interior Design Consultant / Sales Associate

Our high-end Import / Design Company known for its vast offerings of fine natural stone and tile has an opportunity for a Sales Associate to join our showroom team. The ideal person will be a highly motivated, energetic self-starter who is goal oriented with a strong record of successful showroom sales and project management. Your primary responsibility is to direct your own sales potential while assisting interior designers, builders, architects, contractors and homeowners in choosing interior and exterior hard surface materials for both residential and commercial projects.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on products and design related to function, color schemes and color coordination.
• Drive sales to meet and exceed monthly sales goals.
• Develop repeat sales, new relationships and future business.
• Deliver exceptional customer service.
• Use strong design and technical skills to assist customers and clients to make decisions.
• Administer sales process to ensure timely, accurate and profitable completion of sales.
• Expand product knowledge and develop sales skills.
• Promptly handle walk-in clients, scheduled appointments and sales calls.
• Prepare material estimates and quotes.
• Process sales and purchase orders.
• Interface with vendors to resolve product issues.
• Provide exceptional customer service and project management during the sales process and follow up after installation.
• Contact new & existing clients to discuss their needs and introduce products.
• Participate in in-store events.
• Network within professional organizations by attending meetings and events.

Able to work Tuesday through Saturday.

Requirements

As a Interior Design Consultant/Sales Associate you must meet the following requirements:

• 2+ years retail sales experience
• Degree in Interior Design preferred, but not required
• Working knowledge of the Stone & Tile industry a plus
• Project management experience
• Aptitude for math

This position earns a base salary plus commission, with significant advancement potential.
