Interior Design Sales Consultant

A leading regional appliance dealer is seeking an Design Sales Representative to support its Trade division. The ideal candidate will develop new and existing businesses across the custom builder and design channels, with a primary focus on the design industry. This role includes managing a book of business, representing the company in trade associations, selling in the showroom, at trade partners' offices, and virtually, and servicing your clients after the sale.

Responsibilities

• Manage sales territory covering PA, NJ, DE, and MD.
• Conduct in-person visits with prospective and existing accounts.
• Review architectural plans to prepare bids and anticipate problems with appliance integration.
• Coordinate project details between trade partners, end users, and internal operations teams.
• Oversee the full sales cycle—from quoting through post-sale service.
• Prepare and deliver proposals to designers, architects, and design/build opportunities.
• Maintain strong relationships with all assigned accounts through event planning, problem solving, networking and cold calling.
• Represent the company at industry events and within trade associations.

Desired Skills & Experience

• Reliable personal vehicle: mileage and expenses reimbursed.
• Participation in an annual bonus program, reviewed quarterly.
• 2–3 years of sales experience, preferably in outside sales within the industry or a parallel supplier position.
• Experience reviewing architectural plans
• Strong cold‑calling, communication, interpersonal, and soft skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Job Type

Full‑time, with a hybrid remote/showroom schedule.

PAY: Commensurate with experience, strong potential for 6-figure + income for the right candidate.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
