Interior Designer

Studio Tatum is a full service design + build firm with a portfolio ranging from new construction designs, interior/exterior remodels, interior/exterior furnishings and light commercial design/implementation. We are looking for an experienced Interior Designer to lead a variety of design projects. This role will report to the principal designer and will handle all aspects of the design process. Designer will be expected to excel in the art of collaboration, take pride in developing concepts and inspiration, thrive in interaction/management of stakeholders and produce thoughtful and detailed designs and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead design projects from concept to completion
• Define project requirements and schedule as directed
• Interpret and translate customer needs into rough plans
• Gather measurements and information for costs and project fees
• Research on materials and products sourcing
• Create Design Boards and product specification schedules
• Create 2D floorplans and 3D renderings
• Constant communication with design and construction teams
• Work closely with Studio Tatum team members as well as contractors
• Research and follow industry changes, evolutions and best practices

Skills

• Possess a strong working knowledge of the interior design and architectural design documentation practices.
• Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong oral and written communication skills; strong presentation and documentation skills.
• Professional level understanding of the overall interior design process from programming through construction administration.
• Must be a team player, who is focused on collaboration and teamwork
• Strong working knowledge of Revit, the Adobe Creative Suite, Enscape, and Microsoft Office is required.
• BS degree (or higher) in Interior Design

• WELL AP
• NCIDQ certificate holder

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in relevant design firm environment
