Description
The FF&E Coordinator plays a crucial role in the procurement, coordination, and installation of furniture, fixtures, and equipment for interior design projects. They work closely with designers, project managers, vendors, and clients to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of FF&E items.
Responsibilities
- Procurement: Source and procure furniture, fixtures, and equipment according to project requirements and budget constraints. Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, and vendors to obtain quotes, negotiate pricing, and place orders.
- Budget Management: Assist in developing FF&E budgets for projects and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints throughout the procurement process. Track expenses, review invoices, and reconcile discrepancies as needed.
- Vendor Management: Cultivate and maintain relationships with FF&E suppliers and vendors. Evaluate vendor performance, quality of products, and adherence to deadlines. Identify new vendors as needed to expand supplier options and improve competitiveness.
- Logistics Coordination: Coordinate logistics for the delivery, transportation, and installation of FF&E items. Schedule deliveries, coordinate installation crews, and ensure that all items are delivered and installed on time and in accordance with project specifications.
- Quality Control: Inspect FF&E items upon delivery to ensure quality standards are met. Address any defects, damages, or discrepancies promptly by coordinating replacements or repairs with suppliers and vendors.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of FF&E specifications, orders, deliveries, and installation schedules. Generate reports as needed to track project progress, budget expenditures, and inventory levels.
- Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for FF&E-related inquiries from internal stakeholders, clients, and external vendors. Communicate project timelines, requirements, and updates effectively to ensure alignment and transparency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design.
- Previous experience in FF&E procurement, coordination, or project management within the interior design, fit out & joinery, construction, or hospitality industry.
- Strong understanding of furniture, fixtures, and equipment specifications, sourcing, and procurement processes.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross functional teams and external partners.
- Detail oriented with a keen eye for design aesthetics and quality assurance.
