Job description:
Conceptual & Technical Design
- Assist in developing creative interior design concepts tailored for educational environments (classrooms, labs, libraries, admin areas, hostels, etc.).
- Prepare basic and functional layout plans, furniture arrangements, color schemes, finishes, material palettes, BOQs, and material boards using software like AutoCAD.
- Support in creating 3D visualizations, walkthroughs, presentation boards, and client-facing design proposals.
- Ensure all designs adhere to ergonomic standards, child and educational safety norms, and age-appropriate aesthetics and functionality.
Collaboration & Coordination
- Collaborate with senior interior designers, architects, MEP teams, vendors, and educators to develop integrated design solutions and ensure coordination.
- Attend project briefings and client meetings to understand scope and intent.
- Assist in coordinating with vendors, suppliers, and contractors for finishes, furnishings, material samples, timely procurement, client approvals, and documentation.
- Revise and adapt designs based on feedback from clients and senior team members.
- Support site teams during design implementation and resolve on-site discrepancies.
Site Supervision & Execution
- Conduct site visits for measurements, design and material verification, and supervision of execution works and design implementation.
- Monitor site work to ensure fidelity to the design, quality standards, and material use.
- Document and report on-site progress, deviations, and issues that require resolution.
Documentation & Administration
- Prepare and maintain organized records of technical drawings, material specifications, design references, and vendor quotes.
- Create and update BOQs, design schedules, client presentations, and project folders.
- Assist in developing standard templates and maintaining design libraries.
- Support administrative tasks such as meeting notes, sample coordination, and invoice tracking.
Learning & Professional Development
- Stay updated with trends in educational interiors, modular furniture, and child-centric design.
- Learn and apply child-centric and pedagogical design principles (e.g., flexible classrooms, sensory elements, modular furniture).
- Actively seek mentorship, software training, and feedback from senior designers.
8. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
- Experience: 1–3 years in interior design
- Willingness to travel to client or project sites across India as required
9. Preferred Qualifications (if any)
- Familiarity with education-centric design elements and materials.
- Experience in school, institutional, or commercial design projects.
- Portfolio demonstrating conceptual, technical, and collaborative project experience.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
Work Location: In person
