Role Description - Interior Designer

This is a full-time on-site role for an Interior Designer based in Chennai. The Interior Designer will be responsible for planning functional spaces, creating construction drawings, designing interiors, and addressing client needs. Key responsibilities include working on architectural design concepts, space planning, detailed design development, and managing FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment) throughout project execution.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Develop design concepts, mood boards, and presentations based on project requirements
• Prepare detailed space plans, layouts, and interior design drawings
• Create and review construction drawings, ensuring technical accuracy
• Coordinate FF&E selection, specification, and procurement
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress, ensure design compliance, and address issues
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, vendors, and clients to ensure project alignment
• Prepare BOQs, material schedules, and design documentation
• Present design ideas and concepts to clients clearly and professionally
• Oversee design implementation during project execution to ensure quality and timelines
• Research materials, finishes, and industry trends to integrate innovative solutions
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and company guidelines

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field
• Proficiency in Space Planning and Interior Design
• Experience in Architecture and the ability to contribute to design concepts
• Knowledge of Construction Drawings and technical documentation
• Skills in handling FF&E, including furniture and fixtures selection and coordination
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Attention to detail and an eye for aesthetically pleasing and functional designs
• Proficiency in design tools such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar software is preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
