Interior Designer

Job Summary

An Interior Designer is responsible for planning, designing, and supervising interior spaces to make them functional, aesthetically pleasing, and aligned with client requirements. The role involves conceptual design, space planning, client coordination, and site supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Meet clients to understand their requirements, budget, and preferences
• Create design concepts, mood boards, and space layouts
• Prepare 2D drawings, 3D designs, and renderings
• Select materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, and décor elements
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and suppliers
• Visit sites regularly to monitor project progress
• Ensure projects are completed within timeline and budget
• Prepare BOQs (Bill of Quantities) and cost estimates
• Maintain project documentation and reports
• Ensure quality standards and design accuracy

Key Result Areas (KRA)

• Timely completion of design projects
• Client satisfaction and repeat business
• Accuracy in drawings and cost estimation
• Effective vendor and site coordination

Skills & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Interior Design or Architecture
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3Ds Max, V-Ray, or similar software
• Strong creativity and visualization skills
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Knowledge of materials, furniture, and interior trends
• Project management and coordination skills
