Job Summary:
VKB Homes is seeking a talented and motivated Interior Designer to join our team. This role is responsible for leading clients through the design and selection process for residential remodeling projects, ensuring a seamless transition from concept to construction.
The ideal candidate has an Interior Design Degree, at least 3 years experience in residential interior design, remodeling, space planning and material selection. They also need to thrive in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meet with clients to understand project goals, style, and budget.
- Develop interior design concepts, layouts, and space plans to present renderings to clients.
- Guide clients through finish and material selections (cabinetry, countertops, flooring, tile, lighting, etc.).
- Create and maintain detailed design documentation for project execution.
- Collaborate with sales, project managers, and field teams.
- Ensure designs are functional, buildable, and aligned with project scope.
- Maintain timelines and keep projects moving forward.
- Provide exceptional client communication throughout the design process.
Requirements:
- Interior Design degree (4 year preferred).
- 3 years of proven experience as a Residential Interior Designer.
- Knowledge of the residential remodeling and construction process.
- Strong understanding of materials, finishes, and design trends.
- Experience with space planning and layout development.
- Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, Chief Architect, SketchUp, or similar).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once.
