Interior Designer

LOCH Studios is looking for a contract-based Interior Designer / CAD Draftsperson to support our workplace design team with onsite measurements and CAD floorplans for fast-moving office projects across San Francisco.

This role is ideal for someone highly detail-oriented, responsive, and comfortable working independently in active office environments. We’re looking for a strong technical partner who can quickly capture existing conditions and translate them into accurate CAD drawings our team can design from.

Scope of Work

• Travel onsite throughout the bay area to measure office spaces and document existing conditions. I usually need support with a 2 day headsup. Floorplans need to be delivered within 1-2 business days
• Build accurate floorplans in CAD for internal design and space planning use
• Capture key dimensions, architectural details, power/data locations, and other site conditions
• Organize and deliver clean CAD files to our internal team
• Coordinate directly with LOCH Studios on timing, priorities, and project needs

Project Volume

• Estimated ~.05 - 1 floorplan per week on average, though volume may fluctuate depending on active projects

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (required)
• Prior experience measuring commercial interiors and creating as-built floorplans
• Ability to work quickly and accurately with minimal oversight
• Must supply your own measuring tools/equipment
• Based in the Bay Area with ability to travel onsite throughout San Francisco
• Strong communication and reliability — responsiveness is very important for this role
• Experience with workplace or commercial office projects preferred
• Revit proficiency is a plus

Compensation

• Contract / freelance position
• Approx. $75 - 100/hour depending on experience
• Flexible schedule based on project needs
