Position: Full-Time Interior Designer
At Oliver Architecture, designers take on meaningful responsibility across the many facets of our multidisciplinary design firm. Our small, studio-based environment allows team members to be directly involved in projects from concept through documentation, working closely with senior staff while developing a strong understanding of the day-to-day responsibilities of architectural and interior design professionals.

Interior Designer Role & Responsibilities:
- Assist in the production of conceptual design packages for Client and City presentations
- Create finish palettes
- Assist Interiors Director with FF&E selections
- Research concept, benchmarks, materials, typology, and precedents
- Attend client meetings as necessary during design development and construction administration phases of work. Discuss options and logistics with clients
- Validate design decisions based on cost analysis with an understanding of logistics and procurement efficiencies
- Develop design through electronic models, diagrams, construction documents, and other visual formats
- Develop design documentation. Collaborate with architecture and engineering team for successful outcomes during construction
- Manage client correspondence throughout the design process
- Prepare Construction Documents in collaboration with OA Architectural and Interiors Directors and staff as well as Consultant Team Members
- Assist staff members with visiting and documenting new sites
- Visit construction sites and assist with other Construction Administration tasks
- Assist Interior Director with supervising Interior Design Interns, if any
- Maintain and update the materials library in the scenario that an Interior Design Intern is not on staff
Job Qualifications for this position are as follows:
- Professional degree in Interior Design
- A professional license is not required, though the ideal candidate would minimally be working towards licensure.
- 1-2 years+ of related experience (excluding summer internships) preferred, though highly qualified recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Furniture procurement experience is not required but would be a considerable plus.
- Proficient with Revit BIM software, as all of our projects are completed using Revit. Experience with Photoshop, InDesign, other Adobe suite programs, and Lumion a plus.
- As a hybrid work company, we rely heavily on online project management tools to stay in touch with everyone throughout the day. New hires should be capable of learning multiple such programs to seamlessly interact with OA staff and other Project Team members as necessary.
