AVID Operations is an interior design consultancy specializing in bookkeeping services as well as process development, technology integration and custom trainings for Interior Designers.
We are seeking a part-time Account Manager/Bookkeeper to support our interior design clients. The ideal candidate is tech-savvy, detail-oriented and has an acute sense of numbers. This is a remote, part-time, non-exempt position with a flexible schedule. Schedule will range from 20-30 hours a week with the potential to grow.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
ACCOUNTING
- Credit card and banking transaction posting + reconciliation
- AP management + payment processing
- Client funds on account + AR management
- Purchase and time billing invoicing
- Financial budgets and reporting
- Dues and subscriptions management
- Monthly + Quarterly sales tax filing
- End of year accounting initiatives
PAYROLL + Benefits
- Employee expense report and reimbursable management
- Employee daily time tracking management
- Payroll reports, supporting forms and documentation
- Employee benefits management to include holidays, paid time off, 401k, etc.
- Workman’s comp audits
- Handbook development support
- Policy compliance
- Employee onboarding + separation
business COMPLIANCE
- Statement of Information filing
- Business license renewal
- Tax return preparations for CPA
- All IRS and FTB action notices
- 1099 reporting
- Insurance management
ADMINISTRATIVE
- Remotely attend weekly team meetings
- Task management using AVID Operations preferred software
- Procedure update management and team trainings
- Research new company initiatives as they relate to operations, accounting and technology
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Candidates must not only align with AVID Operations' (3) core values: Ethics, Growth, and Courage, but also possess a proven track record of consistently embodying these values
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working as a bookkeeper or in finance for the Interior Design Industry
- Studio Designer software experience (www.studiodesigner.com)
- Advanced knowledge of Google Workplace and Microsoft Office Suite
- Must be tech savvy with the ability to quickly learn new programs and apps
- Expert number sense and comprehensive understanding of accounting principles
- Must be highly organized and detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
- Must operate on a high level of professionalism with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Highly professional writing and verbal communication style
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and use discretion
- Note, this position will require a successful background check which we will initiate prior to the onboarding process
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
