Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Interior Designer / Design-Build Specialist to join our team. This role is ideal for a designer who is confident managing projects from concept through construction documentation and design execution, while collaborating closely with our internal team throughout the build phase.
This is not an entry-level position. Candidates must have proven experience in residential remodeling and/or new construction and be capable of leading the design scope within a design-build framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead residential design projects from initial concept through construction documentation and design implementation
- Develop space plans, material selections, and cohesive design concepts aligned with client goals
- Produce detailed drawings and construction documents using Chief Architect or similar software
- Work collaboratively with the Project Coordinator and Project Manager during the construction phase to ensure design intent is executed accurately
- Serve as the point of responsibility for all design-related scope throughout the project lifecycle
- Present design concepts, selections, and revisions clearly and professionally to clients
- Manage multiple projects while maintaining organization, timelines, and communication
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5+ years of professional experience in residential design, remodeling, or new construction
- Strong proficiency in Chief Architect or comparable design software (Revit, AutoCAD, etc.)
- Demonstrated experience working within a design-build environment or alongside construction teams
- Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and detailing
- Ability to produce full construction drawing sets and specifications
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing projects independently from concept through completion
- Knowledge of local building codes and permitting processes
- Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field

Important Note
This role is focused on ownership of the design scope. While you will collaborate closely with our Project Coordinator and Project Manager during construction, you are not solely responsible for overall project execution.
Pay: $50,000.00 - $58,000.00 per year
