The Interior Designer – Furniture & Decoration leads the client journey from the first presentation to final order transmission. Working closely with the Customer Experience Leader (CEL) and Design Head, this role combines design intelligence, client engagement, and operational precision.

The designer develops and presents interior concepts, curates materials and fabrics, prepares quotations, verifies site data, and compiles the final order documentation for procurement.

Post-order, they support factory and procurement teams with clarity and address client or production queries promptly.

Success is measured by design accuracy, client satisfaction, and on-time order transmission — the practical expression of The NewAge Way. Duties & Responsibilities

A. Prospect & Concept Stage

1. Collaborate with the CEL / Design Head to understand client aspirations, preferences, and functional needs.

2. Participate in initial client meetings and presentations, communicating The NewAge Way of luxury and composure.

3. Conduct space assessments — review plans, proportions, and architectural context.

4. Develop concept layouts and furniture plans aligned with brand standards and client lifestyle.

5. Create mood boards, colour stories, and material palettes illustrating the project direction.

6. Curate initial furniture and décor selections from NewAge collections with supporting visuals and samples.

B. Design Development & Proposal Stage

7. Refine layouts, materials, and selections incorporating client feedback while maintaining design coherence.

8. Prepare detailed AutoCAD / SketchUp layouts and 3D visuals showing spatial flow and balance.

9. Combine layouts, mood boards, and digital / physical presentations that communicate spatial intent and materiality.

10. Curate and specify fabrics, finishes, lighting, rugs, and art for cohesive storytelling.

11. Generate accurate quotations, BOQs, and costing sheets using NewAge pricing tools.

12. Coordinate with sample library and vendors to secure required material references.

13. Maintain version control and organize all design files systematically.

C. Client Presentation & Approval Stage

15. Present refined designs alongside the CEL / Design Head, explaining concept, scale, and material choices. 16. Incorporate feedback precisely, maintaining feasibility and proportion.

17. Finalize and obtain client approvals for all designs, finishes, and budgets.

18. Archive signed approvals and update internal documentation for release readiness.D. Site Verification & Order Preparation

19. Conduct pre-order site verification to confirm measurements and service readiness.

20. Document verified dimensions and update drawings accordingly.

21. Prepare the Order Transmission Package for procurement, including:

  • Approved drawings and layouts
  • BOQs / pricing sheets
  • Material & finish schedules
  • Product codes & specifications
  • Client approvals and site reports

22. Hold an internal review meeting with procurement and factory teams to ensure 100 % clarity on design intent.

E. Post-Order Coordination

23. Respond promptly to factory / procurement queries to maintain design accuracy during production.

24. Address client questions quickly and clearly, ensuring trust and transparency.

25. Track production progress and coordinate updates with procurement and CEL.

26. Conduct order-stage site verification if required before dispatch or installation.

27. Support installation and styling teams with drawings, material data, and visual references.

F. Brand & Continuous Improvement

28. Live and represent the NewAge Vision, Values & Beliefs in all communication and conduct.

29. Deliver an exceptional, calm, and refined client experience at every stage.

30. Maintain visual and quality standards within the showroom; ensure displays and samples embody The NewAge Way.

31. Participate in design reviews and learning sessions with CEL / Design Head.

Knowledge & Experience

● Degree / Diploma in Interior Design or Architecture.

● 3 – 6 years experience in luxury residential or furniture/interior design.

● Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, PowerPoint, and rendering tools.

● Expertise in space planning, material selection, and color coordination.

● Experience preparing quotations, BOQs, and order documentation.

● Familiarity with luxury furniture brands, fabrics, finishes, and accessories.

● Understanding of production workflows, site verification, and client communication.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
