Position Summary

The Designer is responsible for daily operations of the Primera Design Studio. This position will serve as a key interface between Primera, our customers, and the homebuyers. To be successful in this role, the Designer must be passionate about design, providing high-quality service, and leading a dynamic team to success. Key Responsibilities

• Monitor Design Center upgrade performance, analyze results, and identify opportunities to drive Primera’s revenue growth.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for builders and field employees regarding Design Center operations, fostering strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Communicate directly with builders to clarify product selections and specifications as needed.
• Coordinate and schedule vendor training sessions on new products to ensure alignment with evolving industry trends and offerings.
• Conduct Design Center appointments, delivering a high-quality and consultative customer experience.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with internal departments to enhance Design Center performance, streamline processes, and improve operational efficiency.
• Promote the Design Center through marketing efforts, gather customer feedback, and implement continuous improvements.
• Provide Design Center support for non-Primera Design Center builders, Custom Home clients, and VIPs as required.
• Deliver VEO software demonstrations both remotely and in person for current and prospective builder customers.
• Lead new Design Center implementations including staffing, process development, product selections, VEO setup, and transition or takeover of builder Design Centers, as well as launching new standalone Primera Design Centers.
• Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned to support departmental and organizational objectives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Design, or related field strongly preferred
• 5+ years’ experience in residential construction and/or managing a Design Center required
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills required
• Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy required
• Ability to maintain high standards of confidentiality required
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, One Drive, Word, Excel) strongly preferred

Work Environment

• This position is a hybrid role primarily based in a fast-paced Design Center setting that may include frequent interruptions and time sensitive deadlines to meet. Designers must be flexible and willing to travel between our Colorado Springs and Centennial locations.
• Standard office hours apply, with occasional flexibility required for evenings and weekends as needed

Physical Requirements

Tasks involve the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, but which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of objects and materials of light -weight (5-10 pounds). Tasks typically involve extended periods of time at a keyboard or workstation. Work is performed in usual office conditions with rare exposure to disagreeable environmental factors.
