Interior Designer I – Saint Paul (1-5 Years of Experience)

BWBR is a commercial architecture, interior design, and planning firm focused on creating thoughtful, functional, and innovative environments within our core healthcare, higher education and science & technology markets. We are seeking an early-career Interior Designer with 1-5 years of professional experience to join our collaborative design team. The ideal candidate is design-driven, detail-oriented, and eager to learn and grow within a fast-paced commercial design environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the development of interior design concepts, space planning, and design presentations.
• Support the selection and specification of finishes, furniture, and materials.
• Produce presentation materials, including renderings, mood boards, and graphics.
• Participate in meetings, design reviews, and internal quality assurance efforts.
• Work with a team to prepare design documentation, including plans, elevations, sections, and details.
• Coordinate with internal project teams as well as external consultants and product reps.
• Assist with construction administration tasks such as submittal reviews, RFIs, and site visits.
• Maintain organized project files and adhere to client and firm standards and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture from an accredited program
• 1–5 years of professional experience in a commercial interior design or architecture firm
• Working knowledge of commercial building codes, ADA requirements, and industry standards
• Proficient in Revit and Adobe Creative Suite. Experience with Enscape a plus
• Strong design sensibility, graphic skills, and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize deadlines, and work collaboratively within a team
• Clear verbal and written communication skills
• Professional, proactive, and eager to learn
