As we expand our team, we’re inviting an autonomous, client-facing Interior Designer to bring visions to life in custom luxury homes. With decades of excellence in luxury home building, Hamed Homes sets the standard in Northeast Indiana.

Position Summary

This role blends design, communication, and execution. You will serve as the bridge between the client, the internal team, and trade partners—guiding selections, managing design details, and ensuring each home is delivered at the highest level.

This position is ideal for someone who is highly organized, confident working independently, and thrives in a client-facing environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field required
• Luxury residential or custom home experience preferred
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and finish applications
• Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar)
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and client expectations
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Comfortable working directly with clients and trade partners

Design Development & Execution

• Develop cohesive design concepts tailored to each custom home
• Guide all interior selections including flooring, cabinetry, countertops, tile, lighting, plumbing fixtures, and finishes
• Ensure all design decisions align with overall vision, budget, and timeline
• Collaborate with drafting and construction teams to ensure feasibility and accuracy
• Review and confirm selections prior to construction to avoid delays or rework

Client Experience & Communication

• Serve as the primary design contact for clients throughout the process
• Lead design meetings, walkthroughs, and selection appointments
• Translate client vision, lifestyle, and preferences into clear design direction
• Communicate clearly and consistently with clients to ensure alignment and confidence
• Provide guidance on options, upgrades, and design decisions

Selections & Coordination

• Manage sourcing and procurement of all interior materials and finishes
• Coordinate with vendors and trade partners to ensure timely delivery
• Maintain accurate records of all selections and specifications
• Work closely with project managers to ensure smooth installation and execution

Pay: $40,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
