As a Designer, you’ll work under the direction of our Principal Designer, but you’ll take the reins when it comes to independently managing client projects from concept to completion. You’ll have the opportunity to shape beautiful spaces—and the experience behind creating them.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop strong client relationships and maintain open communication throughout the design process.
- Develop design concepts, including color palettes, material selections, and furniture layouts.
- Using Sketchup, design 3D models that include material and furniture specifications.
- Using Layout, create detailed construction documents , wall elevations, schedules, and callouts for execution of design.
- Manage project timelines and budget
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and artisans to ensure timely project completion
- Present design concepts to clients using clear and compelling visuals
- Address client questions promptly and professionally
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Conduct site visits to assess progress, address issues, and ensure quality control throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and technologies to provide innovative solutions.
Qualifiers:
- 5+ years of industry experience, 2 years in a similar role
- Proficient in Sketchup and Layout with a strong portfolio showcasing technical design work
- Experience in Google Suite and HouzzPro is desireable
- Strong orginizational skills with acute attention to detail.
- Expert knowledge of building codes, materials, construction techniques + trade vendors
- Professional communication + customer service skills
- A degree in Interior Design or a related field is preferred but not mandatory for exceptional candidates with relevant experience.
Compensation:
- Competitive hourly rate based on experience.
- Paid time off and paid sick leave.
Location:
- Hybrid work schedule. Must be available to work in our Yucaipa, CA studio a minimum of 2 days per week with the first 90 days of employment in studio M-Th.
