Unique Furniture Showroom is looking for a dynamic and design-savvy Interior Designer & Showroom Visual Specialist to join our Lahore showroom. This is a dual-function role at the heart of our customer and brand experience! you will work directly with clients to create beautiful, personalised interior solutions, while also owning the visual identity and display standards of our showroom floor.
The ideal candidate is equally comfortable sketching a room layout for a client and rearranging a furniture vignette to drive footfall. You have a sharp design instinct, a commercial mindset, and a genuine passion for furniture and interiors.
Key Responsibilities
A. Interior Design & Client Consultation
- Meet walk-in customers and scheduled clients to understand their space, lifestyle preferences, and budget requirements.
- Develop tailored interior design concepts including mood boards, space plans, and 2D/3D layouts using relevant design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, or equivalent).
- Guide clients through Unique Furniture's full product range — furniture, upholstery, lighting, rugs, and accessories curating complete room solutions.
- Prepare accurate quotations, order summaries, and project briefs; coordinate with the sales team to close orders.
- Manage client relationships through the full purchase journey, including follow-up, delivery coordination, and post-purchase check-ins.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of current collections, fabrics, finishes, customisation options, and lead times.
B. Showroom Display & Visual Merchandising
- Plan and execute showroom floor layouts, furniture vignettes, and room settings that reflect current design trends and seasonal campaigns.
- Create aspirational, brand-consistent displays that tell a compelling product story and inspire purchase decisions.
- Ensure the showroom maintains the highest standards of presentation at all times (correct pricing, product labels, cleanliness, and display integrity).
- Refresh and rotate displays regularly in line with new arrivals, promotional calendars, and marketing directives from management.
- Source and manage props, accent pieces, soft furnishings, and décor accessories within approved budgets to support display storytelling.
- Photograph completed setups for social media, website content, and internal records.
- Brief and guide sales associates on how to maintain display standards between scheduled resets.
- Monitor customer flow and engagement with displays; use observations and sales data to continuously improve the showroom layout.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a closely related creative field.
- 1–5 years of professional experience in interior design, retail design consulting, visual merchandising, or a furniture/home décor showroom environment.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, or comparable design tools.
- Strong understanding of spatial planning, furniture proportions, colour theory, lighting, and material selection.
- Proven ability to style and stage furniture displays with a refined sense of aesthetics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (confident, warm, and persuasive with clients).
- Commercially aware, with the ability to link design decisions to sales outcomes.
- Physically able to assist with moving and repositioning furniture and display props.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating both interior design projects and visual display/merchandising work is required.
