Interior Designer - VA Healthcare Facility

Monneus Group LLC, a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), is hiring Interior Designers to support the VA Long Beach Healthcare System (LBVAHCS) in Long Beach, CA. This is a full-time, on-site government contract position supporting healthcare facility design, renovation, and construction projects.

Responsibilities:

- Develop interior design concepts for VA healthcare environments emphasizing patient comfort, safety, and accessibility

- Prepare construction documents, FF&E specifications, and space plans using AutoCAD and/or Revit

- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and VA project managers on renovation and new construction projects

- Ensure designs comply with VA Interior Design standards and applicable building codes

- Participate in site visits, design reviews, and project meetings at VA Long Beach

Qualifications (REQUIRED - must meet one):

- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field, OR

- 8-10 years of professional interior design experience

Preferred:

- Healthcare or VA facility design experience

- AutoCAD and Revit proficiency

- Familiarity with VA design standards and construction document processes

- NCIDQ certification or state licensure

Work Location: On-site at VA Long Beach Healthcare System, 5901 E. 7th Street, Long Beach, CA 90822

Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday

Start Date: June 2, 2026

Contract Duration: 1 year base period with two 1-year option periods

This position is subject to Service Contract Act (SCA) wage determinations. Health and welfare benefits provided. U.S. citizenship or authorization to work in the U.S. required.

Pay: $42.00 - $48.00 per hour
