We are seeking a dynamic and talented Interior Designer / Sales Professional to join our high-end showroom team. This role blends creative design expertise with a strong sales mindset, offering an exciting opportunity to create inspiring spaces while driving revenue and client satisfaction.
As a key member of our team, you will work closely with clients, vendors, and contractors to deliver luxury interior solutions that reflect both aesthetic excellence and functional design. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, client-focused, commission-driven environment and is passionate about both design and closing sales.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, needs, and budgets, translating ideas into compelling interior concepts
- Guide customers through product selection, customization, materials, and finishes in a luxury showroom environment
- Develop detailed design plans and visual presentations using tools such as SketchUp, AutoCAD, Revit, Rhinoceros 3D, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Prepare drawings, specifications, and presentations including layouts, lighting design, and color applications
- Manage projects from concept through completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and client expectations are met
- Conduct site visits when needed to ensure proper execution and coordination with contractors
- Build strong client relationships and follow up consistently to close high-value sales
- Maintain showroom standards and visual merchandising to reflect a premium brand experience
- Prepare proposals, quotes, and contracts clearly outlining scope, pricing, and timelines
- Recommend and sell furniture, lighting, and design solutions that align with both aesthetics and functionality
Qualifications
- Proven experience in interior design and/or high-end sales (furniture or luxury retail preferred)
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, 3ds Max, Rhino, Bluebeam, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong knowledge of space planning, color theory, lighting design, and materials
- Confidence selling high-ticket items ($7K–$20K+) and working in a commission-based environment
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence and close clients
- Strong project management skills including budgeting, scheduling, and coordination
- Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail
- Professional appearance and a client-first mindset
- Knowledge of contracts and renovation processes is a plus
Compensation
- Competitive base salary + commission
- Top performers earn $80K–$120K+ annually
