Interior Designer/stylist - Drapery & Bedding Specialist

Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented Interior Designer or Stylist with expertise in drapery and bedding design to join our design team for full-time work. This role is perfect for a designer or talented individual who has a strong eye for textiles, detailing, and finishing touches that elevate interiors and create memorable home & commercial interior experiences. You will work collaboratively with our design team to conceptualize, design, and oversee the execution of custom & ready-made drapery and bedding solutions that align with project goals, budgets, and timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

· Design and specify drapery and bedding for model home & MF/BTR and Commercial amenity projects.

· Source fabrics, trims, and hardware that align with the overall design vision, target market, and budget parameters.

· Create detailed workroom-ready specifications, elevations, and instructions for fabrication.

· Prepare cost estimates, track expenditures, and ensure projects stay within approved budgets.

· Develop and implement cost-saving strategies without compromising design integrity, including effective vendor negotiation, creative fabric applications, and efficient use of materials.

· Collaborate with design team members and project managers to integrate soft goods seamlessly into the full design package and contracted scope of services.

· Participate and oversee installations, ensuring accuracy, quality, and a polished final presentation of details on site.

· Maintain vendor relationships with fabric houses, workrooms, and installers to ensure competitive pricing and reliable quality.

· Stay current with textile trends, innovative materials, and industry standards.

· Assist in furniture, finish, artwork and accessory selections as needed to support team and project success.

• Willingness to travel in accordance with project or client needs.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field (or equivalent experience) is preferred.

· 2– 4+ years of interior design experience or related field with demonstrated expertise in drapery and bedding is preferred.

· Strong technical knowledge of window treatments, fabric properties, estimated yardage and fabrication methods.

· Proven ability to design within budgets while applying cost-saving strategies.

· Experience negotiating pricing, sourcing alternatives, and maximizing vendor partnerships.

· Proficiency preferred in design software in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite.

· Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural floorplans, elevations, and construction details is required.

· Excellent eye for color, texture, and proportion.

· Strong organizational and project management skills.

· Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced studio environment and manage multiple deadlines.

· Previous experience in model home or residential merchandising is highly preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Base Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
