Interior Designing Professor

Position: Interior Design Professor - In person teaching

Location: NSAM Institute of Design, Navi Mumbai

Compensation: ₹500 – ₹650 per hour

Schedule: Minimum 2 fixed days per week (9:30 AM – 4:30 PM) for part-time. All 5 weekdays working for Full-time role.

About the Role:

NSAM Institute of Design is seeking a passionate and experienced Interior Design Professor to join our team in a part-time capacity. The role involves offline teaching core subjects of our B.Sc. in Interior Design program, guiding students to strengthen both their technical skills and creative vision.

Responsibilities:

• Teach foundational and core subjects of Interior Design, including space planning, design principles, and drafting.
• Deliver engaging lectures, hold Workshops, take on Market Surveys and Studio Sessions that encourage student creativity and industry-readiness.
• Evaluate student projects and provide constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with the faculty team to enhance course quality and student outcomes.
• Support NSAM’s commitment to blending academic learning with real-world exposure.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in Interior Design (college/university level preferred).
• Up-to date with the recent trends in Interior designing.
• Knowledge of AI in Interiors.
• Strong knowledge of fundamental design concepts & software.
• Ability to inspire, mentor, and engage students.
• Flexibility to work for at least 2 fixed days per week. Additional hours may be discussed during the interview.
