Intermediate Interior Designer / Project Manager

We are a boutique interior design studio specializing in thoughtfully curated, high-end residential interiors throughout Connecticut, Westchester County, and the greater New York area. Our work is rooted in timeless design, exceptional craftsmanship, and a highly personalized client experience.

We are seeking an Intermediate Interior Designer with strong project management capabilities to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional with approximately four or more years of experience in luxury residential design who enjoys balancing both creative and operational responsibilities.

Working directly with the Principal, this individual will play a key role in managing projects from concept through installation, helping to ensure that every detail is executed with precision while maintaining the highest level of client service.

Responsibilities

Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist in the development and execution of high-end residential design projects from concept through completion
  • Prepare and maintain AutoCAD drawings including floor plans, elevations, furniture layouts, and construction details
  • Source furniture, lighting, materials, finishes, and decorative accessories
  • Create and maintain project schedules, budgets, and procurement tracking documents
  • Manage proposals, purchase orders, invoices, and vendor communications
  • Coordinate with architects, contractors, fabricators, workrooms, and consultants throughout all project phases
  • Conduct site visits, field measurements, and construction walkthroughs
  • Oversee project logistics, deliveries, and installation coordination
  • Assist with client presentations and material reviews
  • Support styling, final installations, and project photography
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure deadlines are met across multiple active projects

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years of professional interior design experience, with a focus on high-end residential projects
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD required
  • Experience producing construction drawings, furniture plans, and detailed design documentation
  • Knowledge of residential construction, renovations, and custom millwork
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly detail-oriented with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
  • Experience with Studio Designer or similar project management/procurement software is a plus
  • Experience with rendering software is a plus
  • Familiarity with luxury residential vendors, fabricators, and workrooms is preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field preferred

Additional Requirements

  • Must have a valid driver's license and own a reliable vehicle
  • Must be comfortable traveling regularly to project sites, vendor showrooms, installations, and client meetings throughout Connecticut, Westchester, and New York City
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
