About the Role of Intermodal Dispatcher

We are seeking an experienced Intermodal Dispatcher to manage international container operations across major rail and port networks. This role is critical in coordinating drivers, tracking shipments, and ensuring timely delivery of freight across intermodal systems.

Key Responsibilities of Intermodal Dispatcher

• Dispatch drivers for international intermodal container moves
• Coordinate shipments between rail yards, ports, and customer locations
• Monitor container status and ensure on-time pickups and deliveries
• Communicate with drivers, customers, and terminals daily
• Manage scheduling, routing, and load assignments
• Track and resolve service issues proactively
• Maintain accurate records in dispatch and logistics systems
• Ensure compliance with company and DOT regulations

What You’ll Need as an Intermodal Dispatcher

• 2+ years of intermodal dispatching experience (required)
• 2+ years of brokerage experience
• Strong understanding of international container movement and port/rail operations
• Experience with DMS, Samsara, or similar platforms
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to multitask in a high-volume environment
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
