Intermodal Trucking Dispatch Coordinator

We are ZS TRANSPORTATION, an experienced intermodal / drayage carrier operating out of the Detroit rails. We currently have a crew of 14 trucks and focus in delivering intermodal / drayage ocean containers anywhere in Michigan and regionally in the Midwest.

Our goal is to create a more robuts system and make sure that we operate optimally at any given time.

As an intermodal (drayage) trucking dispatch coordinator, you will be responsible for combining the daily operations in the most efficient way. We service demanding customers and the goal is to meet their delivery needs. We operate with all Steam Ship Lines and working knowledge with their systems is a major plus.

Experience with trucking dispatch management, especially in the intermodal/container, is highly preferred as you could join the crew immediately without much training needed.

We use state of the art technology when it comes to monitoring all our drivers and equipment.

The dispatching software is a great asset and we utilize it to arrange all our daily operations.

It allows us to communicate with our drivers and our customers in real time.

Responsibilities

• manage the drivers team overall daily workflow (combining the deliveries and available drivers)
• coordiante drivers and deliveries daily (responsible for their schedule)
• update customers and handle issues that might arise during a delivery
• making sure data entry is correct
• arrange appointments and coordinate with the customer and warehouse

Qualifications

• dispatching / trucking management via TMS systems is a major plus
• great working knowledge of google workspace and microsoft office
• experience and knowledge in the drayage/intermodal sector of trucking is preferrable
• experience working with steamshiplines and being familiar with intermodal concepts like (ERD, cutoff dates, export booking, LFD, perdiems, demurrage, etc) is preferrable
• detail oriented. It's all about paying attention to the small details during our day to day operations.
• great communication with all drivers and office staff

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
