SUMMARY


The position of Accounting/Finance Intern will support company operations by maintaining office systems and providing accounting support where required. As a representative of the company, the Accounting Intern must present a professional appearance and demeanor, with excellent written and verbal communication skills. The ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, manage deadlines, and resolve conflict is important. The Accounting/Finance Intern must also be team-oriented and willing to learn aspects of a key player with the goal of being a member of a successful finance team.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Basic Understanding of accounting processes and principles; Cost Accounting, Accounts Payable and Receivable
  • Proficiency in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) required.
  • Strong Administrative Skills
  • SAP
  • Effective Communication
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation and time management skills
  • Detail orientated and self-motivated and disciplined

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) or equivalent from four-year College


LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and employees.


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.


REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate depending on traffic in the office. The noise volume can be loud when assisting employees in the shop or posting.
