We are seeking a motivated Data Analyst Intern to support our IT Operations team in Scranton, PA. This is a hands-on internship offering real-world experience in enterprise system migration, implementation, and digital transformation initiatives. The intern will report directly to the VP of IT Operations and gain meaningful exposure to the technology and data systems powering one of the most exciting sectors in telecommunications — fiber broadband networks.
What You’ll Do

Assist in enterprise system migration, implementation, and transformation projects by supporting data extraction, mapping, and loading activities

Write and execute SQL queries to analyze, validate, and troubleshoot data across source and target systems

Perform data profiling and quality assessments to identify and resolve inconsistencies or anomalies prior to migration

Support source-to-target data mapping and transformation efforts to ensure data is formatted correctly for receiving systems

Participate in data validation and testing to verify accuracy and integrity following system migrations

Document processes, data anomalies, and migration outcomes clearly for both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Collaborate with IT team members and cross-functional departments to understand data requirements and support project deliverables

Learn about fiber network infrastructure and the technologies behind Greenlight’s high-speed internet services

What We’re Looking For

Required:
-
Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field

Familiarity with SQL and the ability to write basic queries for data retrieval, filtering, and analysis

Understanding of or exposure to data structures, databases, and data transformation concepts

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a keen eye for detail and data accuracy

Ability to interpret and evaluate data from multiple angles and communicate findings clearly

Familiarity with Microsoft Excel or similar tools for data review and light reporting
-
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage tasks across multiple concurrent projects

Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment

Preferred:

Exposure to ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) concepts and data pipeline principles

Experience with Python, or business intelligence tools such as Tableau or Power BI

Familiarity with enterprise software systems (ERP, CRM, OSS/BSS) or system implementation projects

Understanding of data governance, data integrity, or data quality assurance practices
This is a paid internship position. The rate of pay is between $18.00 - $20.00 per hour and will be compensated weekly.
