Intern (Office)

Central Alabama Electric Cooperative (CAEC) is seeking an Intern within our Finance and Corporate Services division to work in a part-time capacity from our Prattville Headquarters, located at 103 Jesse Samuel Hunt Boulevard, Prattville, Alabama. The internship is anticipated to extend for up to a one-year time frame which, unless otherwise approved, will extend from June 2026-June 2027.

Responsibilities: Under the supervision and general direction of the Corporate Analyst, the Intern will ensure that various internal documentation is scanned with accuracy into the Cooperative database systems; receive, scan, and code corporate invoices for approval into our Accounts Payable System; and organize and file other internal documentation. At the conclusion of the internship, the Intern will be responsible for training the incoming Intern on all duties and responsibilities.

Qualifications: The successful candidate should be a full-time high school Junior or Senior for the 2026-2027 school term and have the availability to work between 15 and 30 hours per week. The candidate must be able to maintain a good working relationship and rapport with internal customers, follow oral and written instructions, and maintain confidentiality with sensitive information. Certification in Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel is a plus.

Physical Demands: The candidate must be able to perform tedious visual tasks for extended periods, operate a personal computer, and be capable of lifting items up to 10 pounds.
