Intern - Programs and Training Support

POSITION SUMMARY

The Programs & Training Intern will support the development and execution of member-focused programs and trainings at California Farm Bureau. This part-time position (approximately 24 hours per week) will run from approximately June 1 through August 15 .


This role works closely with department leadership to help build meaningful training opportunities, strengthen county engagement, and support initiatives that advance the organization’s mission.


This internship provides hands-on experience in program development, training coordination, and member engagement within a statewide agricultural organization.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the planning and execution of programs, county staff training, and member engagement

initiatives

  • Assist in developing and organizing training materials, presentations, and resources
  • Coordinate logistics for meetings, workshops, and events (scheduling, materials, communication)
  • Conduct research to support program development, innovation, and continuous improvement
  • Help track program participation, engagement metrics, and outcomes
  • Draft and edit communications, including emails, program summaries, and promotional content
  • Collaborate with staff and county Farm Bureau teams to support program delivery
  • Provide general administrative and project support as needed


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a college/university program (agriculture, communications, business, public relations, or related field preferred)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and take initiative
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Canva or similar tools a plus


PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Interest in agriculture, advocacy, or membership-based organizations
  • Experience with event planning, leadership programs, or student organizations
  • Familiarity with data tracking, surveys, or engagement tools


Hourly Wage: $20.00/hr.
