Rent Stabilization Division is excited to announce an internship opportunity for a dedicated student in Urban Planning, Public Administration, Law, or a closely related field. This position offers a great opportunity to be exposed to local rent stabilization programs, the implementation of rent regulations and ordinances, and the maintenance of housing standards and services. As our Rent Stabilization Intern, you'll have the opportunity to develop and enhance your administrative skills while gaining an understanding of the City’s Rent Stabilization program.

Ideal candidate will be highly organized and possess strong verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating the ability to engage effectively with other staff members and the public.

Must be a college student, currently as an undergraduate or graduate, and pursuing a degree in Urban Planning, Public Administration, Law, or a closely related field. Graduate student preferred.

Eligibility to remain in the program is contingent upon school enrollment.

Students who are interested in a six-month commitment or longer are required.

Students must be able to work approximately 20 hours per week during normal business hours.

Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends.

This position is not eligible for remote work.
