Intern - Risk Management

JOB SUMMARY
The INTERN will support daily administrative operations within the assigned company and department, while providing support to affiliated companies as needed. The internship is designed to provide practical learning experience and professional development through supervised exposure to business operations, project coordination, office management, and industry-specific processes. The role offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment while supporting day-to-day operational needs.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • ASSIST with general administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and document organization.
  • SUPPORT project managers and officer staff with scheduling, reporting, and correspondence.
  • MAINTAIN and update project records, contracts, and permits.
  • ANSWER phone calls, respond to emails, and route inquiries appropriately.
  • COORDINATE meetings, prepare materials, and take meeting notes.
  • MONITOR office supplies and assist with ordering.
  • PERFORMS OTHER ESSENTIAL DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of basic office procedures and administrative practices
  • Skilled in both written and verbal communication
  • Skilled in basic data entry and use of office equipment
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to follow instructions and work with minimum supervision
  • Ability and willingness to learn construction terminology and operational processes.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of employee, customer, and company information.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant program (Construction, Business)
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
Strong organizational and time management skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment


SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS
Must pass a criminal background check

WORK CONDITIONS:
Works in a heated and cooled office environment.
Ability to sit, stand, and use a computer for extended periods.
