INTERN: Shopify Developer Intern

Role Overview:

We are looking for a Shopify Developer Intern who has a keen interest in e-commerce development, good design sensibilities, and a strong foundation in front-end technologies. This internship is ideal for someone who is eager to learn how high-performing Shopify stores are built, customized, and optimized.

The intern will work closely with experienced developers and designers to assist in customizing Shopify themes using HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery, and Liquid, while gaining hands-on exposure to Shopify’s ecosystem. This role focuses on learning, collaboration, and practical implementation of modern, responsive, and user-friendly e-commerce experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and customizing Shopify themes using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/jQuery.
• Learn and work with Shopify Liquid to create and modify dynamic content.
• Support the team in ensuring responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
• Assist with implementing basic AJAX functionality for improved user experience.
• Gain exposure to Shopify apps and basic third-party integrations.
• Work closely with senior developers and designers to implement new features and fix issues.
• Test website layouts, functionality, and responsiveness across devices.

Key Skills & Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Computer Science, IT, Web Development, or a related field.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/jQuery.
• Understanding of responsive design principles and mobile-first layouts.
• Basic familiarity with AJAX and cross-browser compatibility concepts.
• Interest in Shopify development and e-commerce platforms.
• Eye for design and willingness to learn modern UI/UX practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Eagerness to learn, take feedback, and grow in a fast-paced environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Internship
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: ₹6,000.00 - ₹10,000.00 per month
