Family Practice / Internal Medicine Physician — Campo CA

  • Start Date: Immediate
  • End Date: Open-ended/negotiable

  • Shift Type: Day (AM) Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
  • Location: Campo, California 91906
  • Hours per Week: 40 hours guaranteed
  • Pay Rate: $132.03 — $152.13 — $170.50 hourly

Role Snapshot

Provide high-quality primary care to a diverse rural community at a family medicine clinic. Manage outpatient panels, deliver comprehensive care across the lifespan, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to improve access and outcomes for underserved patients.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver diagnosis, treatment, and continuity care for acute and chronic conditions.
  • Perform preventive care, chronic disease management, and wellness counseling.
  • Prescribe medications and manage controlled substances according to regulations.
  • Document encounters and orders accurately in the medical record system.
  • Coordinate referrals and collaborate with behavioral health, social services, and specialist partners.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and community outreach programs.

Qualifications and Education

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited school of medicine.
  • Experience: Completion of clinical training required. One year post-training preferred with community health center experience and geriatric care experience preferred.
  • Licensure: Current California MD or DO license and active DEA registration required.
  • Certifications: Board certified or eligible in primary care specialty required. CPR and BLS required. ACLS preferred.
  • Language: Bilingual English Spanish preferred with medical Spanish skills desirable.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong clinical judgment and outpatient procedural skills.
  • Excellent patient communication, cultural competence, and team collaboration.
  • Proficiency with electronic health records and population health workflows.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to a resource-limited rural setting.
