Job Description:


This professional will be responsible for covering local institutional clients in the UAE and Gulf region, including but not limited to sovereign wealth funds, financial institutions, large corporates, and family offices. The role emphasizes relationship management and business development, with a focus on deepening client engagement and expanding CICC’s presence in the region.


The candidate will act as a relationship manager, serving as a key liaison between clients and the firm’s global platform. The candidate will support the delivery of investment services and capital markets solutions through internal partnerships with different business units, while also contributing to the firm’s broader expansion strategy in the West Asia region.


  • Build and strengthen relationships with local institutional clients in the UAE and Gulf region.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, leveraging CICC’s expertise in Chinese and global capital markets.
  • Provide local institutional and wealth management clients with insights into investment products, services, and market developments.
  • Collaborate with internal teams across product, research, and execution to deliver tailored solutions.
  • Support strategic initiatives to strengthen CICC’s regional presence and align with firm-wide growth objectives.


Job Requirements:


  • 6-10 years of experience in institutional client coverage, private banking or wealth management coverage.
  • Deep understanding of the local business environment, institutional network and client expectations in the UAE and Gulf region.
  • Proven track record in building trust and long-term partnerships with institutional and wealth management clients.
  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Business Administration or related disciplines. Equipped with knowledge in equities, fixed income and alternative investments.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic; Mandarin proficiency is a strong advantage.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with credibility in front of senior stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills; effective team player who thrives in dynamic, collaborative environments.
  • Strong interest in the China market, including promoting and developing China‑related investment opportunities.
  • Entrepreneurial, adaptable and proactive in identifying solutions and opportunities with a client-oriented and result-oriented mindset.
  • Self-confident, energetic and ethical, with strong work ethics
