International Educational Counsellor

An International Educational Counsellor for study abroad programs guides students in selecting and applying to overseas universities, ensuring they make informed decisions about their education and career. They provide expert advice on course selection, university options, visa applications, financial planning, and cultural adaptation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Student Guidance & Counselling:
  • Advise students on study options based on their academic background, interests, and career goals.
  • Assist students in selecting suitable universities, courses, and countries.
  • Provide insights into international education systems, admission processes, and cultural aspects.
  • Application & Admission Support:
  • Assist students with university applications, including document preparation (SOPs, LORs, essays, etc.).
  • Guide students through standardized test requirements (IELTS, TOEFL, SAT, GRE, GMAT, etc.).
  • Ensure timely submission of applications and follow up on admission decisions.
  • Visa & Immigration Assistance:
  • Guide students on visa requirements, application procedures, and interviews.
  • Ensure students prepare and submit all necessary visa documentation.
  • Financial Planning & Scholarships:
  • Provide information about tuition fees, living expenses, and other costs.
  • Help students explore scholarships, grants, and financial aid options.
  • Pre-Departure & Post-Arrival Support:
  • Conduct pre-departure briefings to prepare students for international education life.
  • Assist with accommodation arrangements, travel planning, and cultural adaptation.
  • Offer ongoing support after students arrive at their destination.
  • Marketing & Outreach:
  • Organize seminars, webinars, and workshops on study abroad opportunities.
  • Collaborate with universities, educational institutions, and visa agencies.
  • Maintain relationships with alumni and previous students for networking and guidance.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
  • Maintain student records, application progress, and visa approvals.
  • Prepare reports and updates for management and partner institutions.

Skills & Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (preferably in Education, Counseling, International Relations, or related fields).
Experience: 1–3 years of experience in student counseling, admissions, or international education.
Skills:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of international education systems and admission procedures.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Problem-solving and ability to handle student concerns effectively.
  • Familiarity with visa and immigration processes.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs30,000.00 - Rs50,000.00 per month
