Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified and experienced International Employment Lawyer to draft and advise on a legally binding international employment contract for hiring employees across borders.
This role requires strong knowledge of cross-border employment law, including governing law, jurisdiction, mandatory local labour protections, tax considerations, and intellectual property provisions. The successful candidate will ensure the contract is enforceable, compliant, and suitable for long-term international employment.

Key Responsibilities
- Draft a comprehensive international employment contract
- Advice on governing law and jurisdiction clauses
- Ensure compliance with mandatory employment laws in the employee’s country
- Draft enforceable clauses covering:
- Working hours
- Termination and notice periods
- Confidentiality
- Data protection and post-termination obligations
- Advise on misclassification risks and international hiring structures (direct hire vs EOR)
- Review and finalise the contract following feedback
Requirements
- Qualified lawyer in a recognised jurisdiction (UK, EU, US, or equivalent)
- Demonstrable experience in international employment law
- Experience drafting employment contracts for remote or overseas employees
- Strong understanding of cross-border compliance and labour law protections
- Excellent legal drafting and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with startups or international companies
- Knowledge of Employer of Record (EOR) arrangements
- Experience drafting contracts involving IP or confidential business information
