Role Summery:

The Controller, International Financials is responsible for managing and coordinating project reporting, as well as handling financial reporting and budgeting responsibilities between the company and its mainly international subsidiaries.


Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate between the Financial Reporting team and the Subsidiaries’ Accounting team, to ensure timely reporting.
  2. Collaborate with project management and finance teams to develop a detailed project budget, accounting for all expenses related to the construction, development of IP, or any other project.
  3. Accurately estimate and forecast project costs for materials, labour, equipment, overhead, and other relevant expenses, and continuously update these estimates as the project progresses.
  4. Identify any disparities and variations by monitoring and tracking project or development expenses compared to the budget.
  5. Establish cost-control measures to maintain the project on budget, while also identifying opportunities for savings and optimizing expenditures.
  6. Provide stakeholders regular cost reports, including a clear overview of project costs, variations, and financial analyses.
  7. Oversee the procurement process, which involves evaluating supplier bids, negotiating contracts, and ensuring that purchases are made cost-effectively.
  8. Facilitate effective communication and coordination between the company's support departments and the operation teams of its subsidiaries.
  9. Regular financial reporting and an annual audit of the subsidiaries.
  10. Manage credit and provide periodic revenue analysis reports.
  11. Facilitate services from legal, accounting, and financial consultants.
  12. Maintain corporate documents related to Research & Development activities and general document management, including updating, tagging, and filing.
  13. Support with intellectual property registration and ensure that reports are filed with regulatory authorities on time.
  14. Ensure the execution, coordination, and ongoing improvement of Research & Development control processes, including data collection, validation, consolidation, and reporting.
  15. Assist with raising debt or equity, including IPO projects.


Qualification and Education:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Accounting, Finance, or Economics with SOCPA registration.


Experience:

A minimum of 5 years' experience in controlling or finance.


Skills:

  • Advanced computer skills, including MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint), with a strong understanding of various SAP modules.
  • knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • The capacity for resilience, adaptability, and teamwork.
  • Time management skills.


Professional Certifications:

Professional certification such as CA, ACCA, CPA, CFA, CMA, etc.
