INTERNSHIP-Accounting Assistant

Pay: $19–$22/hour (flexible based on experience and qualifications)
Schedule: Flexible hours | Part-time or Full-time opportunities available (this is not a remote position)

Gain Real-World Accounting Experience While Supporting a Growing Manufacturing Team

Skana Aluminum Company is seeking an Accounting Assistant Intern to join our team and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This internship is designed for students currently pursuing an Accounting-related degree who are looking to apply classroom knowledge to real business operations.

This position is being created to provide temporary support during a maternity leave coverage period; however, strong performers may have the opportunity to continue with Skana in another role after the assignment.

What You’ll Do:

• Support bi-weekly payroll processing
• Assist with Accounts Receivable (A/R) activities
• Assist with Accounts Payable (A/P) functions
• Help manage customer invoicing
• Provide front desk and administrative coverage as needed
• Support general accounting and office operations

What We’re Looking For:

• Currently pursuing an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field (typically 2–4 years of schooling)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally
• Comfortable working with numbers and administrative processes
• Experience with ADP and/or Sage100 is a plus, but not required
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel experience preferred)
